Obituary of Gina Hawkins

Funeral services for Gina Hawkins, 46, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Neurath & Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market Street in Louisville, with burial to follow in Green Meadows Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 11-1 PM at the funeral home.  She passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at her home.   

Gina was born on September 25, 1972 in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Jeese Trent and Ella Mae Hawkins.  She enjoyed watching movies and listening to music but most of all she loved taking her grandkids to the park.   

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mayfield Pennington.

She is survived by her five children, Whitney Hawkins, Brittany Raddie, Kodie Hawkins, Dajon Hawkins, Kyree Hawkins; three siblings, Elizabeth (Asger) Christensen, Jeffrey Pennington, Michael Ely; her aunt, Ada Belle Kasner; seven nieces and nephews, Nichole (Dwayne) Davis, Monica (Cedric) Hill, Kelly Marie Pennington, Mayfield Louis Pennington II, Brandi Michaell Ely, Travis Ely, Trevor Ely; seven great nieces and great nephews, Dwayne Anthony Davis, DaJuan Edward Davis, Shamonnie Guilford, Ashawn Guilford, Jelynn Harris, Cedrianah Hill, Cedric Hill II, Payton Daniel Ely; and two grandchildren, Serenity Henderson and Serrainna Henderson.
