Obituary of Mary Catherine Thompson

Mary C. Thompson, 74, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on February 3, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Neurath & Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market Street, Louisville, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM on Monday at the funeral home. 

Mary was born on March 12, 1944 to the late Herbert and Lois Lucas. She was a caregiver and devoted her life to her family. 

Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thompson; daughter, Paula Thompson; brother, Randy Lucas; sister, Wanda Lucas; and two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Juliette Brozzo.

Mary is survived by her children, Anthony Thompson (Sonya), Hope Smolik (Christopher), William "Billy" Thompson, and Faith Thompson (Pedro); adopted step-daugher, Shawntan Lucas; siblings, Bobby Lucas (Linda), Roger Lucas (Bonnie), Phyllis Richards, Shirley Cook (Ronnie Dodson), and Kimberly Lucas; grandchildren, Randi Copher, Paul Thompson, Bobbi Thompson, Morgan Thompson, Skylett Thompson, Shyanne Thompson, Esthela Cruz, Rebekah Thompson, Madelynn Thompson, Tristen Thompson, Logan Thompson, Pedro "Bubby" Noriega, William Thompson, Jr., Daniel Noriega, Grace Thompson, Josiah Noriega, Lavada Noriega, Rylynn Thompson, and Allison Thompson; and 19 great-grandchildren.
